You know Basilisks, the little black lizards that can turn you to stone by gazing at you. A girl named Clara brought one in her house, and wanted to keep it as a pet. When she showed the lizard to her mom she said, "I want to keep this funny looking black lizard as a pet!" Her mom looked a little nervous as Clara put the Basilisk closer to her. Then she says, "No way honey, we can't keep that lizard in this house. What would your father say?" "He would think it's cute." Then the basilisk leaps off her hands and turned it's head in her moms direction and gazed at her, turning her to stone! "Bad boy!" Clara screamed at the Basilisk, but then he turned its head again, and gazed at her and turned her to stone. Then their father came home, and saw two stone statues standing there in the kitchen. "Wow!" He said, "My wife and Clara made perfect statues! This is so amazing, I must call the papers!" Then the Basilisk crawled out through the open door.
